Duncan Poupard
Duncan first started studying Chinese at York University in 2002. After graduating, he went on to continue his Chinese studies at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China, where he also worked as an editor and translator for a weekly newspaper. After returning to the UK, he graduated from London University's School of Oriental and African Studies in 2006 with an MA in Sinology (Modern Chinese texts), and has been working as a translator ever since. He has performed translation work for Chinese and British government agencies, major publishing houses, and FTSE-listed companies. He has recently helped complete a major Chinese dictionary project for one of the UK's leading language publishers. He is a member of Chartered Institute of Linguists.
Kitty Au
Kitty was born in Hong Kong where she worked as a journalist covering Hong Kong and China news. She later obtained a law degree from Manchester Metropolitan University and a master's degree in translation studies from Edinburgh University (Distinction). Since then, she has been working as a translator, completing projects for various UK and Hong Kong government departments, law firms, banks as well as SMEs. As a native Chinese speaker and a veteran journalist, she knows the China and Hong Kong markets well and has extensive experience in localizing English texts into both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. She is also a member of Chartered Institute of Linguists.
Andris Svarcs
Andris is a creative Front-end web developer, specialises in converting graphic designs from PSD or Vector graphics formats to efficient and standard compliant XHTML/CSS files. He is familiar with all aspects of design, photography, and digital imaging and is an expert in graphic design and web developing tools and technologies (PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, phpDesigner, XHTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, DHTML, Ajax, and php MVC framework CodeIgniter).
